Founded by François Leroy in 1868, Domaine Leroy is now run by the fifth generation of his family, with Lalou Bize-Leroy leading from the winemaking front. In fact, under her stewardship, their wines have been awarded a dizzying array of accolades including multiple Gold medals and grand prizes. Domaine Leroy is located in Vosne-Romanee, one of the most expensive and prized wine villages in Burgundy. A family-owned winery that has been producing world-class wines for nearly two centuries now led by Lalou Bize-Leroy who won numerous awards with her unparalleled skills as a winemaker. The Domaine is located in Vosne-Romanee which has historically produced some of the finest wines from the Bourgogne region known worldwide for its Pinot Noir production. Today they are recognized as one of Burgundy’s most famous names due to their impressive winemaking skills and expertise. The underground chalk cellars of the Domaine house some of Burgundy’s oldest wines dating back to 1872, a testament to their reputation as one of the region’s finest wine producers. Domaine Leroy has produced many award-winning wines including multiple Gold medals and grand prizes at numerous prestigious wine shows such as: Bordeaux Wine Show, San Francisco International Wine Competition or Decanter World Wine Awards which they have won consecutively for several years now. In addition, Lalou Bize-Leroy was named Best Winemaker in France from 1991 through 1997 by her peers who also voted Domaine Leroy as the “Best Grower” winery in 1999 and 2001 by French wine magazine, La Revue du Vin de France. The winery specializes in the production of Grand Cru wines from Meursault and Puligny-Montrachet appellations in Burgundy, however, they also produce Pinot Noir wines including their Corton Charlemagne Grand Cru. Domaine Leroy 100% Grand Cru wines are highly sought after and considered some of the best in France.
